Termite Treatment Options

SPOT TREATMENTS

Spot treatments are generally only used where termites are present outside of a house, such as in a nearby tree on a property. Spot treatments have an immediate impact on termite activity but should not be used as a substitute for an effective termite perimeter system. This is ideal if you suspect a termite nest near your property.

TERMITE MONITORING & BAITING STATIONS

Non-chemical termite monitoring and baiting stations are used when there is current termite activity and also as a long-term preventative measure. External baiting stations can be inground, above ground and within concrete. Termite Bait Stations are placed around your property and routinely monitored by trained technicians to detect termite activity.

Once installed, the Sentricon System forms a ring of protection around your property that does not degrade over time. It gets to the heart of the issue and eliminates the entire colony by using smart, effective science that turns the natural foraging behaviour of termites against them.

Over more than 25 years, Sentricon has protected more than 3 million homes, and is relied upon by homebuilders, architects and managers of commercial properties. Proven results mean peace of mind when you choose Sentricon.

POST CONSTRUCTION TERMITE BARRIERS

Core Pest Management's post construction is the application of liquid termiticides directly into soil areas near the external walls of your home/premises. Where hard surfaces such as paving or concrete exist, small holes are drilled and the chemical is then injected into each hole.

Chemical treatments are the most common preventative measure applied to deter concealed termite entry. Both repellents and non-repellents chemicals can be applied to the external perimeter of your home/premises.

Core Pest Management use Termidor (non-repellent) as it will not only eliminate the current activity (including the nest) but will also provide proven protection against termite entry and will continue to control termites for at least 5 to 8 years.

When compared with other termiticides, Termidor has consistently provided termite control over a significantly longer period. When applied according to the label directions, the Termidor Inside-Out program has minimal impact on the environment.

The Termidor system's success lies with the unique "Transfer Effect". Termites live in large colonies and are highly social insects. They are in continual contact with one another.

When a single termite comes in contact with Termidor, it unknowingly carries Termidor on its body and transfers it back to the colony. This one infected termite then infects the entire colony despite the fact it has never been in contact with a Termidor treated zone.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION TERMITE BARRIERS

The pre-construction systems installed by Core Pest Management is Homeguard  Reticulation System.

The Homeguard Reticulation System is most practical when installed before external concrete, paving or decking is laid. It allows for the reinstatement of a chemical barrier around the foundations of the home/premises.

The system comprises of a network of underground pipes that are installed during construction and then pressurised with a registered termiticide.

The Homeguard system is a continuous, physical barrier which is impregnated with a registered termiticide, Biflex, that kills termites on contact. It has been scientifically proven to create a physical and chemical barrier that repels and kills subterranean termites.

Designed and manufactured specifically for the construction industry, HomeGuard is installed on the foundations of new buildings or extensions to provide a continuous barrier, which prevents concealed entry of subterranean termites into the building.

The HomeGuard product range is manufactured in Australia from polymer-based products and uses a leading liquid pest control chemical—Bifenthrin.
